ABOUT US
The Adur
Special Needs Project is a local (Sussex) registered charity committed
to providing out-of-school respite and recreational activities for young people
with special needs aged from 5 years.
At present ASP provides fortnightly weekend respite, a four week
summer scheme, a weekly interactive youth club, a weekly club for young people
and young adults aged 13+ and a weekly club for adults aged 18 and over.

ASP has professional staff that
provides a safe, friendly and fun atmosphere where young people are encouraged
to play, mix socially and participate in fun activities.
A number of Volunteer Helper Partners
aged 13 and over, give up their time to help with the young people. They
Provide a valuable service and, while the work is not easy it can be very
rewarding.
More volunteers are always
welcome.
ASP aims to cater for ALL young
people with special needs, these may include Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy,
Muscular Dystrophy, ADHD, Down's Syndrome, learning difficulties,
speech/language disorders, challenging behaviour and those having suffered from
various forms of abuse and neglect and who are now in care.
